How does the interview day work?

Your dedicated consultant will spend time with you to understand your school and find out what your requirements are, so you can be matched with only the most suitable candidates to interview. We then do all the groundwork of meeting potentially suitable candidates, following up references and pre-selecting the best, so that your time on the interview day is as productive as possible.

With overseas teachers you will have the opportunity to meet them in person, not just over the phone, which we feel is vital when appointing a teacher for a position. It also enables you to interview for a number of different teaching vacancies at one sitting, as you will have the opportunity to interview up to 11 teachers in one day. The concentration of interviews enables you to compare candidates whilst they are still fresh in your mind, making it easier for you to make an immediate decision if necessary.

What teachers are available?

iday’s national and international reach ensures that you meet with a wealth of high quality candidates. Our experienced consultants travel overseas regularly to university campuses and recruitment fairs. Here they meet candidates in person, interview and screen them before matching them with schools at an iday. We only select trained teachers and NQTs, already in the UK or keen to relocate from as far afield as Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

What does iday cost?

We believe in the proven success of iday events and therefore charge a fully refundable deposit to secure your booking. We’ll even pay travel or accommodation expenses for you to attend. A competitive fee is only charged if your vacancy is successfully filled through the process. As there is no need to advertise, draw up shortlists and conduct interviews over a prolonged period we feel iday is the smarter way to recruiting better candidates.
